i'm waiting on parts, the light bar, push bar, and siren is the only thing on the car so far but they really got it togather when it came to factory wiring, it's everywhere. battery is in the trunk too.

i've got pix from a 2006 dodge durango i did as a k9 unit if someone wants to post them for me.

i gave the car back for right now, the parts weren't in yet. the console is pre installed from the factory, just add your components.

the floor shifter is moved to the column and the whole center console is removed and in it's place they have a flat plate of aluminum with grooves on it and they give you U brackets to mount to the side of the radios and switchboxes. i don't care for the look myself, i'd rather have an enclosed console.

i think they'll have to live and learn with this first one. they want to use the factory mounts and save some money. that's what you get for listening to the car salesman over the installer or the cop that has to use it. i'm still waiting on the radio, scanner, switch box, mdt & mount, and a few other things before i can finish it. i think they told me the have a cm300 coming to go in it. at least they're letting me drill holes for good antennae mounts and the light bar.

Err, if memory serves, isn't that a Havis Shields Trak-Mount base, specifically designed to handle either equipment brackets or to receive an enclosed console?

Havis makes a 24-inch console specifically for the Charger...

To me, it sounds like the installer (that'd be you) doesn't know what he's doing and/or hasn't done his homework on this vehicle.

i've done plenty of homework on it, unfortunately i have to use what the customer gives me to use and they didn't get the console, they just went with the mounting brackets. as i posted earlier, they will have to live and learn from the first one. i've got 3 more to do after this one.

CM300? In a police car? What do they carry on their belt-- a CP150?

:o

by thebigphish
only on a few, everyone else is probably carrying SP50s!

they went with the cm300 because it was cheap. they carry ht750's on their belts. like i said they will have to live and learn.

You hick, it's "Fury"...geez

J/K! :P

We have 6 Chargers and 6 Magnums being upfitted right now, should be on the road soon. I can't wait to see what the installer butchered on the DCX cars without reading all the warnings first. Should be interesting!
