HT600 Question

Post by motofreak008 »

I just got a VHF HT600. When I got the radio, it transmitted just fine. Now when I push the PTT it transmits for barely a second and the led just keeps flashing on and off very fast. It flashes so fast it seems as if it is solid, but it doesn't transmit. I think I remember another person that used an HT600 and said that if you flipped the switch on it, something would happen and it would have to be sent in to be corrected. Any ideas?

Have you tried a new battery? I've had a few sent to me that were able to power up, but went into conniption fits when you pushed the PTT button. All of the batteries were very old (like 6-7 years) and when I placed a new one on them, they worked OK. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that did the trick. Even charging the one now made it work.
