I searched for him, seems he hasn't posted since Christmas last year, and that was a post edit.

Anyone know? He was a smart guy.

I think he, like a lot of knowledgeable people who used to be on this board, left quietly due to all the noise, chatter, arguing, and reduced level of intelligence demonstrated by so many who post here.

I used to talk to Nand a fair bit through emails & PMs. It was partly due to what kcbooboo said, but Nand had been posting only sporadically well beforehand. He felt at one point he spent too much time on the board...kind of like an addiction. At the end, he also felt his advice often went unappreciated, since often people don't post back to say whether the advice worked or not, or to give a simple thanks.

I respected his decision to leave, and so haven't tried to get a hold of him to see if he might come back...I just hope someday he does.

Another one i mss was EKLB.
He used to post a lot of good info now and then too.
Why cant we contact the used to be info providers and see if we cant get them to come back ?

Agreed, Nand provided a lot of good as gold info. and you could see that he often expended quite a bit of time to help someone out. Good Guy !

It does seem like a lot of really good people have given up on this board, and many discussion forums.
There are so many people that give bad info, or really don't know what they are talking about that it drives off the really knowledgeable people on many topics.
And a lot of that is just difference of opinions.
And there is also the problems with either out-right rip off artists or just people with very poor judgement that foul up deals.
Makes some people just give up, or decide not to deal with the frustration.
I too have noticed the "quality" of some of the posts has been low at times, but this is still a very good resource.
We all just have to ignore the "wasted bandwidth" answers, and give good help in PM's where that works better.
To all... don't give up.

Absolutely on our friend Nand, Very good and experienced
radio man. Miss him on here.

do you suppose he is out at the GATE visiting with his
brother, sister, and cousin ?

you know them Nor, And, and Or ... . . .......

ok,ok, I know it was bad , but I asked him directly
the same question a few years back and after he caught
what I was asking he got quite a chuckle out of it. Phrawg

OH and BTW, he is the one who showed me how to animate my
little "phrawg" avitar. Good computer skills also !
