Internal Tracking. What's that?

Hi,

On the back side of my Motorola GP380 is a label with a bare code and the indication "Internal Tracking".

Does anybody know what that exactly mean? Is there a special feature in the radio?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Probably your organization's barcode used for internal inventory control.

Thanks dbcomm.

mmhh, I don't think so. The label is exactly the same as the one with the serial number. It's probably an original label of Motorola.

Does anybody else have an idea?

The label means internal to Motorola, not that there's something special inside the radio, it's used by Motorola to keep track of the radio within its own facilities and processes during production, and it has no significance for anyone else.

I know what you're talking about now. I've had the same labels on some of my units when they come back from service.

Well, it's seems to be rather that one, yes.

Thanks a lot for your answer mr.syntrx! :)
