MCS-2000 Hand Mic Repair

Is it possible to repair this mic as it looks like its glued together and the cord is bad. Or is this a disposable one?

Pretty well a disposable item. Although, I have ben known to use
a bench vise in a similar manner to a nutcracker ! squeeze on the
seam and see what happens !!! The cord can be replaced.

What's the part# of the mic? The actual MCS2000 mics are part# HMN4069, and the cord is replaceable. The round connector where the cord goes into the mic simply un-threads counter clockwise and the cord then pulls out.

Ok, its a 4069D. The cord is bad so I'll see if I can unscrew it and go from there. Thanks.'

It's a sort of twist lock arrangement, turn the ring at the base of the mic 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and then pull the cord out.

I think also after the lock ring you also have a tab to push
like a modular phone or cat5 cable connector has then it will
pop out. OOPS Wrong. I just looked at one. No tab, just
turn the ring about a quarter turn. may have to get a knife
blade or something between it and mic body then pull it out
of there. There is an o-ring in that assembly that makes it
drag a bit coming out THEN you can crack it in a vice !!

BUT, Much less distructive

Its not necessary to make such parting construction , if it is for ultra sound welding.
