Hi All, Can anyone tell me how to get the P200 lowband to transmit above 52.6. I did the cheap and easy lock line ground to get them (pair) to 52.525 but need them to go to at least 53.0 mhz? I only need 40 more khz and I would be happy. any ideas? thank you all. Davie n3chu at atlanticbb.net

yeah. The cheap and dirty lock line is just that. A good way to
instability. The vco really needs to be moded. There are several
articles done on it. Not for faint of heart or ham sized fists, but it
can be done. Also different vco's have different top out ranges.
try several if you have access and you might just hit a good one.

Yea, I remember something about taking a couple of turns from the two coils to get the voltage up but have never had one apart. not faint of heart just have to get into the mood to tackle it. thank you. Davie

That was my MT1000 mod and pics to get full 6 meter coverage. The mod should also work on the P200.

If you don't get the document on the mod from someone else then PM me and I'll send you the conversion info.
