Astro Saber Secure/Clear Switch

Post by Batman »

the plastic on the secure/clear switch is gone leaving just a metal shaft. is there a way to replace the plastic w/o needing to replace the entire switch assembly? will the shaft just pop out like the knobs do?

I'm trying to refurb this thing.
Thank You,

Robert

Sorry Bob, but you have to replace the "knob". P/N is NTN5068B or NTN5069A for the rotate only version (no "emergency" button).

I have replaced one of these switches on a Saber 1E with emergency button. I bought the rubber switch with button on the top and I was able to work it over the shaft with a little TLC without removing the shaft. I would assume the plastic switches you will have to take the radio apart.
