We use both UHF and a secondary low band system with vehicular repeaters. Would like to install low band radios on our motorcycles. CHP uses a fiberglass low band antenna on their motors. Can't seem to find the manufacturer and other info on this antenna. Anyone know who makes this antenna ?

Nope, but I'll bet if you contact one of these cats, they'll be able to tell you:

http://www.td.dgs.ca.gov/Services/PubSa ... And.htm#A9 They do all the installation/service on CHP radio systems.

Years ago, Antenna Specialists made most of the motorcycle antennas for low band two-way, but they don't even list anything like that in their most recent catalog. Couldn't find anything in Larsen's lineup either, but they claim to be able to design and build to spec, so if all else fails, you might try them. http://www.larsen-antennas.com

Actually CHP does their own installs. the state techs maintain the repeaters and dispatch centers. Mind you the motor radios are 15w, Ill get back to you with the antenna brand and model.
