Crown Victoria horn ring transfer

Can anyone share how they wire a PA-300 to a Crown Victoria (in this case, a 97).
Car has positive contact horn ring and cruise control sharing a common ground. Want the manual tone (air horn selected) to sound when horn ring is pressed, not when cruise is activated. Should a relay be used? Thanks.

or you can grab the switched out put from the horn feed itself, rather than the switch in the column. Grab it from the horn wire connected to the horn it self. It's one way to do it...

Yellow & light green is the wire you want.
Cut the wire. The wire leading up to the steering column is the horn ring wire. It will show ground when the horn is pressed. The other cut wire will show positive but don't be confused. It's connected to one side of the horn relay. Go ahead and touch it to ground, it will honk the horn. All that does is it looks for ground to honk the horn. The horn ring does that.
Hook up the white/yellow to the horn ring, white to the other cut wire.
Many people have mistakenly cut the ground lead in the steering column which naturally affects the cruise control since it uses the common bus ground there, hence reporting trouble with the cruise controls. That is the wrong wire to cut & use.
