Is it an HT1250?

Post by RadioMan1101 »

I have aquired an HT1250, VHF with full keypad. Programmed it up fully. No problems at all. I was goin to sell it because we're changing over to UHF. Then I looked at the stickers on it. The stickers looked like they were replaced. The one with the model number says it is AAH25KDC9AA2AN which is an HT750. I re-read the radio and it comes up as a AAH25KDH9AA6AN. Further, the serial number comes up 0123456789 and the firmware R03.01.03. Is it possible someone blew new brains into a HT750? Everything works flawlessly, no issues with MDC or anything.

Either someone franken labbed it with a 1250 template, or it's just a rear chassis from a 750 that was put onto the 1250.. If I were a betting man, I'd go with the first one..

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
