need help [with no audio]

need help [with no audio]

I am working on a moto radius that i took out of a desk trac i have th enew face on it which is for the type of radoi i am not geting any sound, i have a working m1225 in my house that i am use the code pluge in the back if it is set for ext speaker, i look at the code pluge for the two radoi they look the same still nothing

I could be wrong as I haven't checked the batlab site for the info. But I believe that you
need to add a jumper to the accessory connector to make the internal speaker work. If
your using an external speaker, make sure it is connected to the correct pins on the
accessory connector.

Correct...a jumper must be in place on the accy. connector to enable the internal speaker.

I'll have to take a peek at mine and see which pins are connected to enable it.

I want to say theu are pins # 12 & 14 but NOT certain on this.

I look at the pin lay out on the site there is only one pin that is make inther speaker + but there is no - so i tryed to hook the the gorund no luck pin 12 and 14 are something differnt but just let me know i woth try them

OK thank you i tryed that but still nothing but you can hear something now very fant like if you have the vol turned all the way down and you turn on the power it is hard to put in to words

I tryed that 15 16 pin there is sound but it is nit loud is sound like it is turned all the way down but i have the the kond all the way up

Sorry about that i have a bad time spelling, what i was trying to say is that i jump the two pins, Now all it is doing is make a low sound it is hard to type out is sound like you have the Vol turned all the way down then pulg it in to the wall that is the sound. I am lost

Most of the Motorola radio speaker outputs have a DC voltage on both wires. If either of these gets grounded,
you generally blow the audio output circuit. Your low volume out may be the result of this grounding.

You know what...I had this problem recently with a MaxTrac of mine after I messed with the mic grounding/muting options.

If the mic wasn't grounded, there would be no audio, or very little. Try checking that in the RSS. It's a Radius Mobile, so it should be similar.

HANDSET option, mutes the speaker unless the mic hang up is grounded. You can disable this in the RSS.
