What radios do you own?: Too many

MTX 9000 questions.

Post by PETNRDX »

I have two of what I believe are MTX9000's of similar model.
Bear in mind that I am not that familiar (nor do I really like) the MTSX lines.
One is model H01WCH4D87AN NX.
Works fine on the 902 inputs, but won't do talkaround on the 927's. FAIL 001 (vco I believe)
If I program around 926.5 it is on the ragged edge of the VCO, Tx for about one second before unlock.
Anybody familiar enuf with this issue to make a guess if it is worth finding someone that can LAB the crossover?
Second question:
Other radio is H01WCF4DB5AN NX
This one works fine, both repeat and T/A.
But somewhere along the line, I must have programmed it with a newer version of RSS, maybe even a WIN version.
I get the "codeplug to new for application" error.
I had a hard drive crash last spring, so now I don't have that version anymore.
Least that is my guess.
Is there any "workaround" for getting back where my version r06.05 will program this radio again.
I am guessing I am out of luck.

On the software issue....From what I remember, there is no CPS that works on the MTX9000. It says it on the case but I don't think it's actually for that, but only the MTS2000.

You can use labmtsx and tinker with the numbers to get the talkaround (maybe).

I thought the latest version was 06.07.00 (Nov. 14th. 2002) correct me if I'm wrong?
and, the "codeplug to new for application" error means your software is old.
did you save the original codeplug?
