Hello,

We currently switched over all of our Personnel to new portables in the office and are going to be assigning them soon, Does anyone have an agreement that they would be willing to share that you have people sign that states they recieved the radio and they are expected to take care of it? Anything similar would work for an idea...

Also, does anyone have a powerpoint on radio useage that they would be willing to share? We are issuing HT1250, CDM1250 and 1550 and XTS2500 portables. Any presentations including any of those radios would be great.

Thanks

If I may ask what does your personal do? Since I work county-wide & work on PD, FD, Hosp. Schools, the list goes on. Whoever has Insurance on you radios may have a document for you. Its going to vary from job to job. You may want to log all the Models & serial numbers. Every department is going to be a little different. I myself never had to sign a doc. I would sign out a radio no questions asked. Bring it back when I was done with it. Interesting post.
if someone in your personal, drops a radio, or leaves it on the seat of a car ( thants a nono) and its stolen? was never my area! but all our models & S/N are logged, and they fall under an insurance company for the dept. that will use them....

They all fall under County Level Emergency Management Staff. We have a spreadsheet that we keep track of the MDC, Serial Number, Alias and Owner for our MDC records so the serial number part is accounted for. I am sure our insurance could provide something just wondering if anyone had one "Radio" specific...

Thanks

very good, I got some interesting news about your post today! but lets see if anyone else wants to post comments to your question... when the radios break, coffee gets spilt on them, whatever, we fix them. Budget Levels, Risk Management Dept. lots of paperwork!
if we hand them a new radio we signout the new one & sign-in the one that is broken. All depends on where your at and policy.....Jim
