Thanks,
I'll give that a try. I just filed a complaint with PayPal and it pulled up all his info. Shows his name is actually "John Buttler" and now he is verified, so theres a good chance I might be able to get my money back.

The reason I ask is because I was screwed over on a deal on a HT1250. I stupidly sent him money via paypal to find that he was a unverified seller. My big mistake. I found this guy on twoway shopper or somethin like that....something to the effect of "Connecting the buyer with the seller" but the only thing is that I reformated my HD and lost that link to the site. So if anyone knows this guy or what the website address is, let me know. The guys name is supposedly "John Digweed" but I think this is a fake name. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks!

Thats a risky site, twowayshopper.com/twowaybuyer.com I saw a few "for sales" of sabers, HT-1000's ect..The person selling them listed his QTH & his email as Tucson, AZ or Nogilis, AZ ...I dropped those people some email saying I'd drive down & buy it there. (skip the postage) I never got a reply back? Buyer Bewhere! Ed

I got screwed by this guy also. I did email Paypal and they will give me my money back if he ever has any money in his account. So I've lost my money. But I can help spread the word about him.

That's why you send the check via mail- this way if they screw you, it's now a federal offense and the USPS WILL pursue the matter.

Don't forget to publicize your experiences on rec.radio.swap and anywhere else it's appropriate. Be specific. Publish names and addresses. As long as you don't say anything that's untrue, it's perfectly legal and you can't get sued for slander if you are telling the truth. It's pretty effective at keeping others from dealing with this clown, and sometimes the extra pressure straightens out a crooked person to the point where he'll at least give your money back.

He might have just been in a car wreck but he had a month to ship me my radios and never did. I got three differant reason why he couldn't ship them out. And after I filed a complaint with Paypal he said he would ship them out if I stopped my complaint with them. I have all the emails if anybody need to see them. All I want is my money or my radios.

hello all, I just wanted to add that i have a good friend in Penn. that was screwed over by this very gentleman about 2 weeks ago, over a deal for 2 MT2000 portable radios, my buddy got screwed for over $550.00 and has now filed a action with the FBI and now i guess this guy is in some big S**T. Buyer beware I guess....But among other things....I post alot of radio equipment on twowayshopper.com, and i get alot of responses and I meet some really trustworthy people that pay on time and are extremely satisfied with product..so dont let this guy ruin the reputation of a decent site for buying and trading and selling radios. thank you all for your time....and have a good one.....and I a always have a large assortment of Motorola VHF and UHF radios if any of you are interested...
