HT1250 power problem

Post by muggsy09 »

Ok I'm stumped, a co-worker of mine dropped his Ht1250 off to me, he had a Nickle-Metal Hydride battery on it HNN9009A and that battery's cells started to die, so he bought a Li-Ion Motorola Battery unknown model# with 7.2v rating. Charged it and put it on the radio. Radio would not power up, then he took off that battery and put on the original, no power no nothing. I put a brand new NiMh battery on it and nothing. I can't figure out what happened.

Anyone have any idea what happened or what the problem is?

Have you checked the fuse on the chassis side of the PCB?
