this GM1200 can't upgrade to MC2100?

Hello all
I have a GM1200 , the model numbers :M01RHL9CK4AN ,I want upgrade to MC2100.But my firend tell me,it's no way.

are you sure its a gm1200 and not a gm1200e?
the gm1200 can be flashed to mc2100
the gm1200e isn't

I 'm sure it's a gm1200 not type 1200E.
But I was search this:"You can't flash radios with the model numbers M01RHL...... and M01KHL...... either. It only works if you change the control head."

Yes, the answer is simple: There is no "portable counterpart" for some control head layouts in the Wookie model list. So replace the control head with a more common model (full keypad or rotary).
