XTS with keypad problem

Post by Caffiene »

All,
I've got an XTS-3000 with the partial keypad (6 buttons). The top 3 buttons have developed a problem where when they are pressed, the radio does not "see" the keypress.
Have others had this problem? Is it with the flexi connector going from the keypad into the radio, or is it generally the keypad itself?
TIA,
-Caff

What radios do you own?: APX4K, XTL5K, NX5200, NX700HK

It probably has something to do with the flex cable breaking somewhere and making the radio work improperly.

I have a 'model II' myself and have had no problems with it. The local PD is all XTS3000 model II, however, the display and front keypad mean nothing to them.
