Batboard

i have a minitor iv sv that i had programed and it said it read and wrote the info fine but when we tested it it would not receive
however on my way home it was picking up static from time to time soooo wouldn't that mean its receiving ??????????? does this make any sense at all or do you have any ideas how to fix?

ok so i squeezed the pager (front speaker and belt clip) and the pager started receiving great so is this the fix i need to do http://radioetcetera.googlepages.com/minitoriiifix i would assume but on that page he says that the pager will receive fine just not alert ????? any help would be greatly appreciated
