I have searched the site but could not come up with the information I need. I apologize if this has been covered.

Our club just purchased and stalled a new Motorola GR-1225 VHF repeater. We are in the process of applying for the software license, etc with anticipating purchasing the software in the future.

I have looked at the Batlabs site, but we are unsure if the RIB diagrams there will work with this repeater and/or what cables we will need between the radio and RIB. Can anyone advise me if the RIB diagrams and cable diagrams to work on this repeater is available on line?

The RIB and PC to RIB cable are all standard as indicated in the appropriate sections here on Batlabs.

The RIB to radio cable is the same as that used for the M1225, GM300, Maxtrac and related variants.

Hi:

With repsects to opinions on programming, you may get as many respones as there are
Clones & cables availible.

If you desire to protect the integraty of your repeater, I would suggest a stable
programming platfom such as a 386-486-25
with at least 4 Mb of Ram/

Alomg with a Factory Rib Box, Rib to Computer
Cable, and a suitable Rib to Radio Cable, the RSS from Motorola is pretty clear and easy to navigate through.

If you desire some " hardware" such as the Rib Boxes, Cables, ect, I do have a good assortment of Factory Rib Boxes and cables
if you desire to go the pro route.

If you are good at construction, you can build a suitable Rib Box from this site and will work just as good as the Motorola one.

The Most important issue is to use the Exact
Same componets in the parts list. In other words, don't use Radio Shack Subsitutes.

If you do, you could end of with a corrupted
code plug and that can be costly and time consuming as well

The P/M1225 RSS requires windows 3.1 and will work well with Win95 on a Pentium 166.
Should be fairly straight forward.
