in the past i have been able to adjust the squelch setting from a radio user standpoint by pressing the mon button, long press. now for some reason, my radio will not do it. a short press will toggle on/off the monitor feature, but when i try the longpress, it gives me the error or blank type of beep, like its not programmed to do that. i looked everywhere in cps to try to rectify it, and have found nothing. anyone have any suggestions?

It won't allow you to adjust the squelch if the radio is in scan or on a trunked system.

Are either of these two true for your radio when you've tried to adjust the squelch?
