"MOBIUS DEFAULT"?

Got a "box of crap" today, found what looks like an MCS2000 chassis, reads with MCS RSS quite well (throws codeplug too new, oh well) but when you power it on, my ModIII front head reads "MOBIUS DEFAULT" for 3 seconds, and then shows "C:C3 A:A1" which correlate to channels and zones if you play with the control buttons. Can't get a model number off the chassis (no stickers) - and RSS doesn't display a Mod ID on the screen.

I can find ONE POST thanks to Google (and our deutschland-friend Andreas) which refers to possibly a MC2100? Or a tooled-on MCS2000?

anyone know what i have found?

Hi there,
you have a MC2100 which is the european version of the MCS2000.
It's an open architecture Jedi series radio and capable of 255 channels,
select5 5-tone signaling, single tone for repeater access and scanning. No trunking features.
Some of the MC2100 mobiles and MT2100 handhelds are upgraded/flashed GM1200
MPT 1327 trunking radios. The "Mobius Default" showing up on the welcome screen
indicates that a default codeplug was programmed with a lab software called
"Wookie Mobius Lab" for Windows and the standard text wasn''t changed.
The more safe and usual way to programm these radios is with Dos rss for 2100 Series.

It`s is shurely an MC2100 Select 5. It`s part of the Renaissance mobile-radio-family,
Jedi are always handhelds. The RSS is called Skywalker and it can programm mobiles
and handhelds.
