IWCE 2010
Who's planning on attending? I will be there again this year.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

I sadly will not be attending this year... I will probably go out to APCO in August.

Re: IWCE 2010
I'm attending the 2-day Motorola road show at the beginning of the week as well. Maybe we can all arrange to meet up one night.

Attended last year, maybe go again this year. Probably tallest person there. We'll see if the co. will foot the bill to go down there again.

Re: IWCE 2010
I just got home.
Had a good time as usual, but I lost my list of Batlabs people phone numbers, so I wasn't able to meet up with anybody.
I hope some of you others got together.

Re: IWCE 2010
I met up with Vercomm, which was cool. There was nothing much new from Motorola directly during their roadshow, although they did give some details on the upcoming Connect Plus trunking...controllers will be in the area of $25000 (single site only) and $30000 per site for multi-site enabled units. So much for the infrastructure pricing advantage over NexEdge.
At the IWCE there were a ton of vendors pushing their ROIP gateways & IP console dispatch applications...they are multiplying exponentially every year. Lots of radio based AVL applications as well.
One vendor booth which caught my attention was "Teldio". They give true PBX phone interconnect capability to TRBO systems. Not cheap! Consists of software on an "RBX" server ($$$$), expansion board for the field units ($$$$) and licensing per telephone capable field unit ($$$$). Works great though. For more info check out:

There were lots of other nice products, including some cool looking IP console software I'd consider over the Atari-like Telex/Nexus offering, and can work with multiple ROIP gateways including the IP223. I'll post some more when I have the brochures in front of me.
