SUBJECT: MOTOTRBO™ XPR™6300/6350/6500/6550 – May not power up after a quick power cycle of the unit.

MODELS AFFECTED:

All models of MOTOTRBO™ portables radio with firmware versions of R01.03.00 to R01.06.10 may exhibit this issue.

SYMPTOM:

This issue may happen if the user turns the volume knob to “off” position and then quickly turns the unit back “on” (approximately after 2.2 seconds). When the issue occurs, the radio will remain in shut down condition even though the knob is at “on” position and no power up alert will be sounded.

Note 1: For radios with option boards installed, the power off timing is dependent on the option board power down handshake. Thus the 2.2 second window to encounter this issue may be extended or reduced in option board applications.

Note 2: If the user uses turns the radio off (waiting 5-7 seconds) and turns the radio on again, the radio will recover from the condition.
