GM300 Narrow-band

Post by metalmick »

Hi,

Any ideas about parts in Australia to convert a GM300 wide-band (25Khz) to narrow-band (12.5Khz).

FL51 9180097D04 455Khz 6F
FL52 9180098D04 455Khz 4F
Y51 9180022M03 Filter 45.1 Mhz 12.5Khz

Thanks, Mick

Hello:
If i scan the info from motorolas 25khz wide band to 12.5 narrow band instruction sheet = Will someone upload it to this site for all to see ?
I have the sheet that tells whats needed for both UHF or VHF models.
Good for the GM300/M10/M120/M130 and yes the Maxtrac/Radius M100/208/216 mobiles as well if the rf bd is new enough.
Says so on the sheet from Motorola.
If someone will ill scan and email it out to them to put up on the site.
Any mods interested ?

I'm sure that batlabs.com, repeater-builder.com and I would be most interested in the document :)

After about 5 years of peddling narrow band GM300's Motorola coam out and said that's not the way to do it. Buy this whiz-bang new (SM50 or M1225, I forget) radio. It's narrow band is sooo much better.
I have a Halcyon TIMS. It has an audio spectrum analyzer.
I have an IFR 1200. It has an audio distortion analyzer.
I can test and alter the audio response and distortion of my analog radio system to make it sound better.
I have a pair of socks.
Why would I want to put them in my mouth just so I could sound like I'm using a DMR radio?
