CDM1250 Call Alert

Hey All,

Have a question regarding a CDM1250. I am setting up the external alarm (pin 4 on the rear of the radio). So far i can get the radio to set the alarm out from pin 4 using QCII, but i was really hoping to be able to do this with DTMF. Like i said, it works exactly the way i want using QCII, but i have been playing around with the DTMF call alert and cannot get it to work.

Anyone done this before or if i can be done? Perhaps i have something wrong in the codeplug.

Thanks!

If I understand the help topic it list DTMF as a supported call alert, but maybe its not supported for the external alarm function.

Just wondering if anybody knows for sure.

Thanks

Vercomm,

In order for a CDM1250 to decode DTMF tones you have to install
AAHHLN4182 DTMF DECODE MOBILE OPTION BD $82.50 list.

You also need the option board install kit
RLN4823B OPTION BOARD INSTALL KIT $16.50 list.

Regards,

Allen

Good morning,

I'm trying to figure out how to hook the radio up to an external alarm. Is there a basic schematic kicking around?

Thanks, Ken

Right now it's independent from the radio. There was an old radio in place and it was replaced last year with this one.

It's a box with a small board and relay that sets off an alarm bell. I would like to remove the board and use the relay hooked up to the radio.

Does that help?
