Greetings... I have a VHF model JT1000 that cause a low data type pulse noise when transmitting. It is very similar to a computer data burst that rythmiclly ticks. It does this when transmitting any frequency, also it is not affected by narrow/mid/wide settings. All sidetones and data settings are currently disabled...Radio works flawlessly otherwise.
Any ideas ?
Thank's
Randy

sounds like the famous Jedi noise which can be cured with a retrofit kit that has some better shielding of the RF board and controller. Don't have the REX number off hand, but it is actually called a "Jedi noise kit".
